I was born and raised in Michigan; I met my husband Bob at Michigan State University where I earned both bachelors and masters degrees in Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology and Elementary Education.
The Certificate of Clinical Competency was awarded to me from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. I worked on committees and held offices at the local, county, state and national levels during my career. In that time, I have supervised student teachers as well as speech pathology interns during their Clinical Fellowship Year and have been a repeat guest lecturer at several universities. I am a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, an International Sorority for women teachers, and have served on various committees and held officer positions.
