A New Leaf’s Faith House Women’s Crisis Shelter
Faith House is a 72-bed, 24-hour emergency shelter for women and children in crisis. It provides:
• Crisis hotline
• Safe housing and meals
• Case management
• On site, DES licensed childcare
• Domestic violence, life skills, and parenting education
• Community resources and referrals
• Employment assistance/Workforce Access Point Site
• Financial literacy education and budget counseling
• Assistance with securing permanent housing
Faith House provides refuge, care and education for women and children, annually serving approximately 200 domestic violence victims and homeless children and their children due to crisis situations.
Faith House is confidentially located in northwest Maricopa County.
Domestic violence is a pervasive problem with devastating results. Faith House is Arizona’s oldest operating domestic violence shelter. Services have expanded to meet the community’s needs of homeless women and children in crisis.
Faith House utilizes volunteer support and receives city and state funding as well as corporate, foundation and individual contributions. It has been the largest recipient of funds raised through Women’s Club fundraising efforts.
October 26,2017 Halloween Party
Donelyn Casad ,with a group of volunteers, celebrated Halloween with the mothers and children of Faith House. The children participated in face painting, cookie and pumpkin decorating. They loved the Pappa Murphy pizza and the little bags of candy they made!! 🎃
